This is just a simple homemade vinaigrette salad dressing that I began making while watching what I eat. It goes great on a salad consisting of Italian lettuce blend, spinach, sliced sweet onions, sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, and chickpeas.
Balsamic Vinaigrette
- By Jeff Severson
Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup Olive Oil
- 3/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 Tbs Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tbs Honey
- 1-2 Tsp Thyme
- 1 Tsp Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients in a jar and shake well. The jar that comes with Good Seasons dressing packets is what I use and works great.
Notes
I usually don’t measure the mustard, honey, thyme or salt. I just eyeball it. Add more or less honey depending on the level of sweetness you’d like.
